This Web Part template displays the results of a standard SQL query without requiring use of the SharePoint Business Data Catalog. To use this Web Part, paste the source into the RSSBus Web Part Source Editor and click apply. In the RSSBus Web Part properties pane, modify the conn and query inputs to refer to your own database.

How do I use this Web Part?

It's as easy as copy & paste! Copy the SQL Query Results Web Part source to your clipboard, paste that source into the RSSBus Web Part source editor, and click 'Apply'. Click on the details tab for more information.

Prerequisites

Web Part Usage

  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button which is located in the "Download" tab.
  • If you haven't already, add a new RSSBus Web Part to your SharePoint page.
  • In SharePoint, on your new RSSBus Web Part properties pane, click the "Source Editor" button to open the editor.
  • Paste the clipboard contents into the RSSBus Web Part Source Editor and click "Apply".
  • The following inputs will be listed in the RSSBus Web Part properties pane, where you can set their values appropriately and click "Apply" again.

Additional Requirements

This template requires you to install RSSBus.SqlOps. Note: This example uses the Northwind sample database from Microsoft, change connection string and ColumnDefs to reflect your desired database.
